It’s the weekend, the sun is out and they are calling for the 60s on Sunday! I cannot believe it. I only have spring fever that much more. In fashion of my adoration for this lovely spring I am working on a mini series focuses on simple and affordable decor ideas to bring in a new season. I like to get the most out of my money (aka I am cheap) and often that means getting creative (losing my mind). I love having greenery around the house, especially during the warmer months. I was not given the gift of the green thumb though, in fact I have managed to massacre every single plant I own. I am sure there are others out there with this dilemma; I hope. In an effort to keep the green around my house looking as it should I have developed quite the collect of (shhhh) faux plants. One of the first items on my agenda after we got married was to decorate our mantel. It is the first thing someone sees when they come in our house. Within the first couple of months I found two pottery pieces on clearance and needed something to go inside. So I discovered boxwood rounds. The great thing about these is that you can split them apart and place each one on top of pottery, vases, planters, etc.
Happy Spring Decorating!
